hi all just to keep you all up to date i saw consultant on 16thApril was told because swelling in ankles has not gone they dont want to do op to replace ankle because it could mean if i get an inffection i could loose my leg below the knee i told them that aint gonna happen.so now i have to see a oedema spescialist and a heart specalist because swelling can be caused by my heart not working well.
To say i am a bit peeved is an understatement.

    Hi,
Sorrythat you are not having the ankle replacement after all...at least for now....but they are very cautious about infection when doing replacements....Hope all the other meds go all right

    Yep Pauline!!

It annoys me too when they say 'What can I do for you?' and they asked YOU to go in!!!

Reckon it's the admin staff who do it - not us

Wise to wait and see with the ankle - my Mum had heart probs and her ankles swelled up too. You dont want to loose your leg if you dont have to

    Love
