Ho Val I so know what you mean by the smile that doesn't reach your eyes and the feeling that the pain is taking over your mind. I really do hope its cus you have over done it and not gone on a burn. ((( ))) and hope its a better day than you think. Cris xx

Aw, you are a good girl, Val, even when you are in great pain and discomfort, you still soldier on and get yourself to work. You are a star. I do hope you begin to feel better soon and hopefully work will not be too tiring and stressful. You have got a great sense of humour, don't ever lose that will you? :)

The happiest people don't have the best of everything. They just make the best of everything.

If you can lay down at night knowing in your heart that you made someone's day just a little bit better, you know you had a good day.

    Hi Valval

I hope you feel better soon. I walked much too far on Sunday (10 weeks post op) and paid the price with aching limbs and feet. I laid down most of the day yesterday which has helped and I strapped up my feet.

When you get in from work have a long soak in the bath and relax.

    Hiya val.....

I hope the pain eases for you soon; it's bad enough coping with pain but when you've got to work through it well it's just not funny. :(

hope you get some special pampering and lots of TLC.

Hi Val, Hope you got through work OK. This time of year does make it very easy to over do things. Hope the meds help tonight. Only resting helps at times though. :? Ix

Hi Val - it is easy to overdo it and then pay later.

Work is extra hard when you are in addtional pain - yes I know that smile too, I use it on bad days too ... it hides the teeth gritted with determination.

Pamper yourself tonight if you have any strength left - wheaties, a bath, full dose of meds ... hopefully you will be feeling a bit better by this weekend.

I have had OA since mid twenties. It affects my hips and knees. I had a THR on the left aged 30 and now have a resurface-replacement on the right - done May 2010.
