Hi all,

I wondered if anyone knows of any support groups, helplines, on-line forums etc for carers and in particular carers for people with ME.

My bestest bud's hubby has ME and has for about 7 years and my buddy is fast running out of the ability to cope.

I used to help but arthur has reduced what I can do over the past couple of years. Also, because of arthur she turns to me less for help and support (bl***y arthur) because me and her hubby look just as grey and as pooped as each other.

I kinda feel like I am letting me buddy down at the mo so I am on the hunt for other ways of helping.

Thanks

Plugg

Thanks Toni. I knew this place would be a good place to start.

Hi, just a thought. My doctors' surgery has many noticeboards scattered about with all sorts of info pinned to them, same as my rheumy dept. There's also the Yellow Pages and the web. Does your friend receive the carer's allowance? If not, she should apply, as every little helps (as so many celebrities keep telling us). Maybe the CAB could give her some pointers too. Regards.
