So ladies (and any men to whom this applies)

Have you stopped wearing tights yet and, if not, when will you ditch them?

I'm always in a bit of a quandry this time of year- should I risk it and wear barely there holdups with my skirts (I can't go bare-legged, just can't, have scars from childhood ezcema on my legs) or should I keep wearing a 40-denier or less? My favourite tights this winter have been my 100 denier ones (just like leggings, fantastic) teamed with knee high boots and a short skirt. But I think those days are firmly behind me now the sun has come out.

Or has it\? What do you think?

Haven't worn tights for about 10 years........hate the things. Stopped because I mainly wear jeans or trousers now and won't wear tights as well. I'd have a job to get them on anyway!

I do wear a skirt sometimes in the summer, but go bare-legged till forced back into trousers again.

I will never wear pop socks, even with trousers - they will always remind me of my mum, bless her, who loves the beige coloured ones. HOW she manages to find exactly the same shade every time she needs a new pair is a mystery!

do not do tights unless a wedding or something go straight from trousers to shorts (long ones) men invented tights to tourcher us with val

(Plus someone said I looked like a teenager today. It could have been a polite way of saying 'sort your act out love' but I prefer to take it as a compliment!!)

Have you tried to use a cover up cream. You can get good ones that hide scars?

I'm a tight wearer. Although my legs are not a bad shape I am very pale & there is nothing worse that peally wally legs. Now I am back at work I wear black low denier & fishnets. Casually if my skirt is a bot shorter I wear opaque tights, black again or brown depending on outfit. I also like patterned tights.

I can't stand black tights with coloured shoes don't think it looks right.

Nina, I have a friend who has a port-wine birthmark on the left side of her face - her cam cream is so good I never knew for more than a year until she actually showed me.

I think it's a specialist company she gets it from - will ask her if you like?

I do have some brown tights with a check pattern on them but stopped wearing skirts when the weight piled on.In fact I still bought some lacey brown ones(White company)recently even though I will never wear them. Just hoping I suppose.
I really am not keen on plain tights and would rather have bare legs, after a wax of course, and as the weather is supposed to be scorching this summer(met office) i think you need to be prepared.Tights are not going to be comfortable.
