hello I just had to shut the window quick heard a bumble bee near the window and I hate them when they come in doors, and spiders, and wasps, and mice luckily haven't got any of them, butterfly and moths
i haven't even liked any thing that buzzes near me since i got stung with one as a kid.
funny how we all hate things smaller than us daft really hubby says stand still don't flap about or you'll get stung, but still don't like them.

Hi
I'm not keen on those big spiders, they run so fast you don't know where they have gone. I did see in the paper that if there are no flies in your house then the spiders will go.
We have gone all around the house making sure there were no flies, but we still saw some spiders. I'm not sure they got that right.
The insect I really don't like are those Dragon flies.

I don't mind spiders, love bumble bees, not keen on flying daddy-long-legs .....they always seem to swoop towards my head ...but the things I can't stand are worms, slugs and snails

I hate - WITH AN ABSOLUTE PASSION - those flying ant thingies. Ewww, you`ve had a lovely day sunbathing, then the sun`s gone in and it`s turned humid, and millions of them appear from bloody nowhere, and land all over you.
Ughh, I`m shaking, just thinking about them......Ange.0 -
I love to see the bumble bees in the garden.....but I found one of those giant black spiders in my bedroom...there is no way I can kill them..so I spent half hour catching it ...and gently putting it outside  ..then hubby came in and says where there is one there is always two

If you put some conkers [horse chestnuts] in you rooms and afew drops of clove oil on a wee bit of cotton wool in where you mostly get spiders they will stay away ! I thought this was rubbish but tried it last year and i havent had any since i used them!!!Margaret0

That reminded me of lovely little book my mum had of countryside whimsies and fairie folk......
one of them was advice on how to get rid of ants:
if they come into your house.......ask them politely to leave on three consecutive days and they will go!
another piece of advice was that when you go on holiday remember to tell your roses you are going as they feel sad when you are away and will fret until you return if you don't!
sorry getting side tracked...it was just a nice memory for me of mum and some of the nice moments we shared.
thanks Margaret!

Stag beetles. Cockchafers (known as billywitches round here). I do not go in the garden in the evening for the duration of May, June and July. Being outdoors at that time is highly over-rated. DDHave you got the despatches? No, I always walk like this. Eddie Braben0

What a bunch of girls
I have a real fear of mice and rats, I shudder to even think about them and can't look at photos or video clips of them.
I don't know why but we always get those HUGE bumble bees come in through our patio doors. The ones that are about the size and weight of tennis balls. We have to run out of the room squealing (if my hubby's not home) and shut the door to the rest of the house until it goes back out. I'm sure it's the same one each year just having a laff.
