Just thought I would give you all a laugh, by sharing something that happened today. Please feel free to comment.

I have a friend - ? - who I have known all my life. Her husband died two years before mine.. She has shocked me today, and I don`t know whether to laugh or cry.

Two years or so after Frank died, I went out to dinner and the theatre, several times, with a really nice man. After a while, he wanted more than I did, so I ended it. My friend was aware of this.

Recently, a guy we had grown up with, who had emigrated to Canada in the sixties, came back home for a long holiday. We all met up several times. He asked me out, but I told him that, for now, I preferred us to get together with other friends. He seemed fine with that.

I saw my "friend" today, and she was asking me what happened. As I was telling her, she started to railroad me, telling me to grow up, I wasn`t eighteen any more, before storming off. WHAT!! My lads are so gonna love this. Their mum a femme fatale.

I`m sorry if I`ve upset her, but I`ve always said that I had my Prince, and I wasn`t gonna start kissing frogs again.....Ask Legs!.....Ange.

    Hi Ange

Am I missing something? what has your decision to go out with someone.. or not, got to do with your friend?!

Her reaction was so bizarre :? and you definitely have nothing to feel apologetic about.

Sounds as though, for some unfathomable reason, it touched a raw nerve with her.

I wonder what she will say to you when she sees you next.

Does she mean Ange that you should be jumping into bed with these guys 'cos you're not 18 anymore and haven't the time to waste :?

She's just jealous because you're obviously a frog magnet and she's not . e045.gif ..... and I've told you before Ange you couldn't possibly kiss any frogs you might get a disease.

You stick to the memory of your Prince...... no one will live up to him. :D

How rude of her! It's your business if you jump inot bed or keep poking them with the 10ft barge poles

Me and my hubby have always promised each other that when it's time for one of us to pass on, the other will not enter another relationship............friendship yes, but nothing more and i know we will both kepp those promises.

Thanks for giving me your thoughts. It does help.

As expected, when I sat down and thought things through, I got really upset. She has apparently told someone that, at my age, I shouldn`t be "picking and choosing like an eighteen year old". I`m inclined to believe this, because I didn`t mention eighteen, yet, there it was again.

I also feel now, that maybe she has feelings for our friend from Canada, but, as she never said, or showed anything, I fail to see why she should be angry with me.

What I do know is, I will be getting on with my own life as I always do - home invasion starts on Tuesday!!! - and following Legs` advice regarding my Prince, who will be laughing his head off!! Frog Magnet....I love it!!!!........Much love......Mata Hari.

    Hi Ange,

Oh flower people are odd! Don't let her get to you. I get it from some people but when Dave died I decided that was it, made a mistake 12 years later and now that really is IT! Thankfully now I am old and haggard and often ill when people try and stitch me up I have a decent cop out they can't really argue with.

You do what you want as and when you want and me I would still be friendly with her but stick a cd on every time she tries to tell me what to do. Love and a ((( ))) Cris xx
