Hi - I have been having bad side effects from methx injec for over a year now, as written about in previous links!! But - after some brilliant advice from the lovely people on here - I went to see the Rhummy nurse!! She told me off - said I was being too hard on myself and also that I was suffering from depression!! Something my doctor had also said but I said no!!! Well they were both right!! Hit me hard - didnt want to face it but have and now hopefully on the up!! am on tablets for depression, just mild ones but they seem to be helping! Also on tablets to help me sleep - havnt had a decent nights sleep for months - so these are helping me as well!! The Rhummy nurse also spoke to the specialist and they droped my methx down to 10mls!! Well I have to say this has been such a difference!!! I have now had 2 weekends with out any nausa or horrid taste in the mouth or feeling complety washed out!!!! I have had 3 days of fatigue - but once I had a sleep this was better!! I am now feeling positive about things - something I had lost over the last few months!!!!!

If you are still reading this - I have rambled on a bit - but I just want to say a big thank you to everyone who has listen and written a reply to me - this has helped me so much over the last few months!! i am not going anywhere, but just felt that I had to say thanks!!!!! I know that this is not the end and there a lots of fights ahead, but today I feel strong enough to fight!!!!

take care everyone!!

    Hi Louise,

I am so glad things are on the up for you. The combo of meds for depression, a decent nights sleep and a lower dose of the arther med really seems to be working for you. That is fantastic news. Well done for taking the bull by the horns and getting it sorted.

I have had OA since mid twenties. It affects my hips and knees. I had a THR on the left aged 30 and now have a resurface-replacement on the right - done May 2010.

    HI Louise
That is brilliant news, quite a few people on here have mild depression, suppose it sometime works along arthur, but you are on the way up now, getting the meds right has you are, will really make a big difference.
