This whole weekend ive been to Cannon hill park in Edgebaston. The mac has opened and there are various things going on over weekend and bank holiday. Like pottery work shops, ceramics music arts etc. Yesturday there was a laughter work shop and they taught us to laugh at nothing. We shook hands and laughed with all the group, did sill walks and laughed. Went under a parachute and laughed.
Laughing is a stress reliver and a doctor found out people got better quicker with laughter. these work shops are more popular abroad but they are fast gaining populatity over here.
Yesturday was world laughter day. Even if it is a fake laugh it releases positive endophines round the body. I did end up laughing for real and would recommened these work shops to anybody.

Lovely to hear all that Joanne, and I love the way you are always striving to find the best things to keep you and your family happy. You are a great mum!

You know what though. I couldn`t help feeling a bit sad that people need to be told to laugh, and about the benefits of laughter.

We did it naturally when I was growing up, because we had far fewer material things, and learned to appreciate the really important stuff, as a result.

Keep laughing, it`s a recognised fact that it is the second most beneficial thing in life. Guess what the first is??........Ange.

There are a few poor souls in this world who have no sense of humour, no sense of the ridiculous, no ability to giggle, chortle, titter, chuckle, guffaw or roar. I couldn't survive this life I have now without being able to laugh. It is good therapy, it does make you feel better, it helps.

I'm still chuckling over the fact that a particularly dull friend, who has the nickname Grandad because he is old and grumpy before his time, is being given a Saga holiday brochure (along with other equipment necessary for an old man - Werthers, tartan slippers, walking stick etc) because he is turning 50 soon. He won't get the joke, but we will! And it will be affectionate laughter. Dreamdaisy
Have you got the despatches? No, I always walk like this. Eddie Braben

The laughter facilitater or Raymond was lovely. He was a full time carer for his daughter who we met who has special needs. He also taught circus skills to parents to teach the kids and he does magic shows.
It was strange being given laughter technics. As you say it is sad people have to be taught how to laugh but it is some what lacking now adays. also love and respect for each other what a sad world. We all have the ability to change the world to a better place though. This is Raymonds contribution. from joanne

The afternoon went well. The weather was mixed a few showers and even hail at one point. I was so cold though and was exhausted after i did some walking. The fresh air has done me good.
The choirs sounded beautiful. The drummers and brass band were brilliant.
My daughters teacher did some of his skateing skills with his friends and my daughter has been shown how to do the splits on skates. She really looked happy talking to the other skaters and learning new things. My son just loved every thing especaly racing round on his didi car.
Ive really enjoyed myself we are all exhausted now. back to school tomorrow. Hope u all have had a good bank holiday and are all keeping well from joanne
