I live in Derbyshire, but I'm a Yorkshire lass at heart because it's where I was born and grew up. Also lived in London and Nottinghamshire for several years.

A long story. A wonderful friend who helped me through my divorce lived there. When I suddenly developed R.A I didnt contact her and I suspect she thinks I am very rude and ungrateful. I had spent so many hours at her house and she looked after my children so I could go out(and thus meet my present partner). As the gap got longer I couldnt bring myself to contact her again. I havent seen her since but think about her all the time. She was a true friend.
It is a beautiful area. You are very lucky to be moving there.
Now I have different friends in the area.

    Hi Elizabeth

My aunt and uncle lived in Polegate!!! I haven't been down that way since before I was married (25 years) - got as far as my relatives in Berkshire since, but as my family love the Lakes, they tend to come up here!!!!! Maybe one day we'll manage a visit - I hope so (see you on the seafront)

    Lynn xxxx

Let me know if you go visiting! It has changed since we were youn ger. There is lots more housing on the seafront now.
My brothers have a shop in Polegate High Street. I am hoping to go this year and visit them all. They have a R.A group that meets in Polegate too so I might try to fit a visit in whilst there.

You might like it Bubbles, it's great for amenities and is a pretty city and I don't think it's as bad as it sounds in the press.
