Pet hates and goat tracks

Right its Tuesday morning I feel like crap as I still have the remnants of a flare hanging around in my knees and I have just driven to work, nothing odd there I guess but today’s trip was different due to the number of little plastic signs in all the farmers fields, everyone was the same i.e. blue and white with vote Conservative written on them.
Now call me a middle aged grumpy old man if you like but this is one of my pet hates, I mean why does farmer Giles think for one minute that a pathetic plastic sign on his vast estate is going to influence me to vote one way or the other?!, it’s the same with some urban dwellers although they tend to be a mixed bag of colours here, I must say though one thing you will never ever see is farm land with Liberal or Labour signs on it that’s for sure, I wonder why that is?.
Anyway I digress, does anyone think that I can be swayed to vote one way or the other just by the sight of a crappy plastic advert for one party or the other? If they do then they are seriously misguided in fact it might just make me vote the other way just to piss them off. How stupid do they think we are?, Don’t they know that 99.9% of us are fully occupied desperately trying to avoid all the flippin pot holes these days, the last thing on anyone’s mind as the swerve down the road, sorry goat track is “Hmmm what a nice sign I’ll change my vote now”.
Look please don’t do it take them down, it’s pathetic and tribal in my eyes and does the opposite in my case, I’m really surprised in the town that it doesn’t attract vast amounts of unwanted attention by late night drunks or some little twerp with a box of swan vesta some lighter fluid and an IQ lower than that of am amoeba to attack it in the small hours. Well either that or nick them so they can melt them down and inject them into their eyeballs to get high, it’s a toss up of that or snorting plant food or whatever it is they do these day’s..
But the worse case scenario is they could just as easily torch your car or shed or house with you in it!, these day’s anything out of the ordinary seems to attract the multitude of loonies that seem to frequent every town and village, best to keep a low profile I say.
And while I’m in a tangent type of mood what a great buzz word “care in the community is eh”, what a great way of dressing up the fact that what they have done is close down the asylums and thrown all the mentally ill out on the streets.
(Care in the community means their in the community and no ones cares about them least of all the politicians!), they then sell off all the hospitals land to building firms so they can put up overpriced yuppie condo’s that none of the locals can afford, ironically it’s done by the same lot who are now infesting out TV’s like a rash of spivs at any given opportunity promising us the Earth whilst showing their teeth in a sickly condescending grins.
The thing is it’s still there in their eyes it’s a dead giveaway, it say’s they are bored stupid dealing with all these moronic plebs and or bigots, why oh why can’t I just go back to my comfy office in the commons and try and bed the new secretary I have just employed I can’t be arsed with all of this rubbish and anyway the bloody roads around here are full of holes we never have to put up with that kind of thing in London.
Deep down they know the opposite is what is waiting for us all, the reality is the countries bankrupt and things are only going to get a lot worse, Christ if they can’t fix the flipping roads, sorry goat track now what is it going to be like a few years time?, I can see horse draw carts and whale oil lamps making a comeback, I guess on the up side no one will die of anything nasty like a stroke or cancer, nope it will all be from consumption just like it was in the good old days.

On form today mellman. Roll on May 10th. Hopefully most of the election fall out will be gone by then. God, it's dull but at least it's over fairly quickly here - I would hate the American system. Imagine years of it! Dreamdaisy

You ARE a middle aged grumpy old man... but that's why we love you so much.

PS - I laughed all the way through your post, especially the bit about melting signs and injecting them in eyeballs. :D

Hi Nina delboy etc, glad u liked it, I don't know where this one came from, there I was hung over squinting through swollen eye lids on me way to the gulag, oh sorry I mean work and it sort of poped into me head, mind you it's got plenty of room to move about in there.
I guess being in solitary confinment as long as I have tends to leave ones mind to free form it's either that or an indoor bouncy castle and serious sedation.

Calm down dear! We don't want an incident of myocardial infarction today!

There is no doubt that the weasel underclass is alive and flourishing. Too many benefits are handed out to too many feckless, aimless, pointless and graceless people. (If anyone gets the literary reference I shall send them a gold star.) There's a classic case in this week's Closer mag: unemployed bloke (complete with scuzzy bint and sprogs) with a personality disorder that stops him working. Apparently it's not the massive amount of alcohol he imbibes on a daily basis to 'help' his 'personality' disorder that stops him. Hmmmm. Wanna bet? DD

have you been down my high street  OMG i get so mad, inter bred to death and leaching offf of us, kids walking ,kids in buggys, kids waiting to pop out and dread to think .....yuk no cant wright that :x they all have the same look about them, chav mums and council housing, nothing against council housing mind, i may need one in the future  they sit on there door step in the sun smoking and drinking tea while the kids run riot ...oh god ya got me started now !!!!!!!!!! :x :x :x :x

chav mums- yes, and theycan idly sit in supermarket cafes having lunch whilst we think twice about it cos of the money....
yes, gormless look all part and parcel of it...
infact sling the lot out on the streets and in there houses put lower paid workers who cant afford anywhere to live...why cant the council and government do that?
as for labour i see they want to increase child credits by extra £4 a week for toddlers..red rag to a bull for chav mums is that!!
how about £4 extra for pensioners, disabled instead? they should make chav mums work in schools, either helping kids, playground duty, in the kitchen etc......i cant stand em.

  :x and its older mums with kids the kids are preggers as well  the whole family out shoping in town spending all our money on chav clothes make up and cheap nappies !!! they seem to think they own the high streets, sitting on the benches outside local pups waiting for matriarc [sp] chav to emerge from chemist with double pregnancy test !!! :x :x :x

they wont pay for tests, they will go down family planning centre (pity they didnt go there first!!) and free test. They dont pay for things!
why wont policitians deal with them? surely they dont get loads of votes of them as cant imagine they can even be bother to vote unless they were paid to do it...arrh, that will be next...£50 for each vote you make, collect your voucher at the polling station!
why has the country got into this state?
i have friends who financial circumstances divebombed and had to sell their homes etc etc..and these chavs get free houses for basically being slappers.

Thank you - much appreciated. I think we'll either have to start a new thread or PM each other (as I believe it's called). What thinkest thou of 'patulous'? I'm off to bed now. I can't do the pain any more. Sleep well. DD
