today i had to take hubby to the doctors he had been in the loft removing boxes out of loft that had been there since we moved in this house over 10 years ago and got something in his eye, he tried eye wash from the chemist but didnt help so he had to go to the doctor about it, anyway when in the doctors room the doctor said the usual look up look down etc etc but hubby could not manage keeping his eyes open... instead mouth open wide and eyes shut, so doctor said close your mouth its your eyes i want open, i found this really funny so when we got home i showed him what he had looked like and he then relized and started laughing, i said that must have been your gold fish impression
i thought i share that with you.

Poor man! What was the offending article? Was it safely removed? DDHave you got the despatches? No, I always walk like this. Eddie Braben0

Funny
This reminds me of when I was in hospital in labour with our eldest daughter. My hubby had only been in the UK for a couple of years and his English wasn't as good then as it is now, but he went off at one point to buy a weekly car parking ticket because it was far cheaper than buying a daily one (or something like that, I forget now). When he came back, I was waiting for my first dose of pain killers and was in a lot of pain.
He told me about getting the ticket to distract me - what he said was that they'd asked for his name, he gave his full name of Daljit, but they'd misheard him and wrote on the card "Banjit". When the midwife arrived with the injection, I was almost hysterical with the pain and laughter and I honestly didn't know which I was doing, with tears pouring down my face. She asked my hubby what was wrong with me (they both looked very concerned by now which I found even funnier) and when he explained and showed her the card, it just set me off again.
Banjit - it still makes me giggle when I think of it

Tell you one thing though if your up in your loft this time of year be very carful about upsetting any wasp nests, they will be small this time of year but this is the time they start building, by the end of summer they can be as big or bigger than a football.
Best thing is to turn the loft light on and leave it for a bit, if you have a jasper or jaspers floating around near it you have probably got an active nest, next thing is to go around the ouside of your house looking under the eaves for the little buggers coming and going, this is really noticable later in the year as there can be quite a few hanging around.
And if you do find a nest only deal with it at night, the later the better, DON'T go anywhere near it during the day it's fatal to do so.
If you live in Oxfordshire near to Wallingford then I will come and kill it for you for nothing, I've done loads for freinds and relatives I generally get rid of around 4 a year, why do I do it, I hate the little buggers they always seem to sting me for no reason.0 -

Perhaps it's because they know you kill their mates :roll:0
