I am sorry to read your message.

It could be tendonitis, bursitis, tennis elbow, rotator cuff tear, OA...... I am sure others will answer with ideas of what may be the problems but the only people who will be able to help are the medics.

I have a massive inoperable rotator cuff tear but daily exercise and anti inflams make it bearable. I also find other ways of doing things because I have lost some strength/mobility in that area.

Five months is a long time to be suffering. I would see your gp and ask his advice.

    Hi Deborah,

Just to be practical .....do you know you can get bum wipers, only for when life's difficult? It's like a bent stick where you wrap the loo roll round the end and then you can reach those important little places  But if you resort to one beware when removing soiled loo roll .....suggest you wear rubber gloves, otherwise it amazing how it spreads .....sorry,  hope you weren't eating :|

Henry VIII had a special person for those intimate little moments - now there's a job ad! How on earth would you phrase it? Never mind.

You poor thing, what misery. Hot-foot it to the docs and get their opinion. My PA now affects my shoulders and getting a T shirt off is hell. Have tried the boys'way, but I can't master it. It's also in my hands which does make all sorts of things difficult. This is despite humira, meth and naproxen. Now off to word that ad . . .

Get a referral to a specialist. I had this last year and saw someone who gave me a steroid injection which didn't work. Unfortunately, I got probs all over but finally had an injection under an ultrasound scan and that did the trick. Don't delay getting a referral as it can take ages for appt to come through.

    Hi

I have problems with my right shoulder and have done for about 2 years. My GP recksons it is OA but no x rays have been done to confirm it. When it gets really stiff/painful I find using an ice pack helps followed by a wheatbag then deep heat.

It's getting worse and I'm going to ask for an x ray. My MIL thinks it could be a frozen shoulder or bursitis. I would rather it be either one of those things than OA!!

Do you also find it difficult to lift your arms up? do your bra? carry things?

    Hi Deborah

    Poor you.

Think you should get one of Linda's bum wipers - they dont cost that much and at least it gives you back your dignity till you can (excuse the pun) get to the bottom of it

    Love

hi there ,i also have same pain and it is hard to wipe your butt !!!!,simple things like even pulling up the undies causes horrendous pain, only thing that worked for me was complete rest, which isnt always easy and meloxicam anti inflams ,pain killers and an amtryptaline, pity i wasnt brave enough to wash it down with a bacardi and coke!,there is no easy quick fix and no comfy way to hold it,i got caught out bad with that one in february ,a family party and me the only driver,it got worse and worse as the night went on ,by the time i had to come home i had to get my sister to change the gears as i couldnt reach out to change them myself ,it was the longest four miles ever,if the pain is at the top of the arm just below the shoulder its the same as i get and you have my sympathy for its a tad painfull, just relax today if you can and hopefully it will be away soon take care wynniex
