Are you able to spot the link between these words?

That's the first set. DD

The link is that the first word begins with a and ends with b, the next begins with b and ends with c, and so on through the alphabet.0 -

I had a feeling that joanlawson would be there first. It's possible to carry on for most of the alphabet, can't do i-j, or y-z. X-y is permissable with, obviously x-ray. With such puzzles do I amuse myself in the wee small hours when the joints are making their presence felt. I am currently stuck on 3 syllable words ending in /er/, such as another, banister, cleverer, disaster. I get stuck on the usual suspects in these lists, j and k being the worst. Sorry I posted something so easy! DDHave you got the despatches? No, I always walk like this. Eddie Braben0

Sit and have a little think, and you will find that you can carry it on. I'll get you started: jerk, keel, loam. Now, can you find m-n? I can provide a clue if you can't. DDHave you got the despatches? No, I always walk like this. Eddie Braben0

Hi DD I love word games too so, after a happy half hour with my dictionary this is what I have come up with (including definitions for words which I had never come across until today so no-one thinks I have invented them).
NardO - Australian cloverlike fern
OrloP - lowest deck of a ship
P Q - not a clue
QueeR
RecesS
SpraT
TiramasU
U V - not a clue
VieW
WaX
XylopyrograpY - designs made on wood with a hot poker
Y Z - not a clue
Howzat?!! Tilly x0 -
Tilly,
What about simply UV as the abbreviation for ultraviolet or isn't that allowed.0 -
I do make exceptions - no English word ends in/v/ alone, so /ve/ is permitted, along with /que/ so I include pique and - oh, mind's gone blank. Can't remember the u-v one. Blast. DDHave you got the despatches? No, I always walk like this. Eddie Braben0
