Hello *waves*
I am feeling most positive today. I am wanting todo some cooking well actually i want to cook cupcakes but i crnt mix the old wrists wont hold up.
So ive been looking at a food mixer (the one that sit on the worktop) has anyone got any experience? Are they easy to use?
Im thinking of making my own wedding cake, i was at catering college back when i was 16 so i can cook quite well just RA dont allow me so im looking for ways around it! Ive been told silicone cooking sets are much lighter to!
Thanks All

Hi Madness,
Mine was easy to use, mine being an old kenwood and well making your own cake is a big project but its not that hard..... just practice o a small one first
I think the mixer should be easy to use with your ra as it does all the hard work and they also cream better than I ever do my hand Good luck and let us know please and don't forget to send us all some cake..... hey best make 2 Luv Cris x0 -
Hi
Maybe make three
I use mine all the time - it is SO much easier - get the kids to wsah it up though
You are clever making your own wedding cake - that sounds brilliant well done you
Give it a try and let us know how you get on

I've got a kitchenaid but it's very heavy to use.
What about a magimix? Look in the argos book, not sure they may list the weight of the mixers

I've got a Kenwood Chef as I find that best for things like cakes, pastry and scones.
I also have a Magimix, this is a brilliant for chopping, slicing and processing food but not so good for baking.
Hope this helps.

I would suggest a food processor as it slices as well as mixes, as commented above. Therefore it has two uses rather than one.
But be careful not to fall in

Isn't cupcakes a lovely word? I think livinglegend is right, a food processor would be good because it has more than one function. DDHave you got the despatches? No, I always walk like this. Eddie Braben0

Hello,
Thank you for all of your messages. I was looking at a kenwood mixer online im thinking of purchasing it as they seem to be the most "cake" friendly! My partner does all the cooking at the moment but isnt very good at cakes  so i get my younger brother to cook our cakes as hes very good at cooking, he baked my partner a car cake!
We are planning at the moment to still marry in December but im going to see what happens when i see my rhmy next week and the venue has said due to my health they are willing to change the date which is so kind of them
But as i want to do the cupcakes, truffles and some type of perservative for chistmas time as favours. Can you tell im hoping at this appointment they will be giving me some stronger medication? Although if not i shall ensure my partner learns how todo these things very quick!
shall i have a 2nd tower for the girls/guys on artheritis care forum? hehe
Take Care
