I went to physio again today she put me on traction i didnt even last 5mins!! She then said that theres nothing else she can do for me and if i do my 60 pushups an hour ill get better !!!! You see that was myu 5th appointment and usually they stop seeing you after that well they do here!!!! Before that id been to see doc she wont prescribe me co codamol anymore she says dont need them Tramadol is enough. I asked for an mri scan and to be refered to a rhemy doc[cant spell] she said i didnt need a scan or to see the rhemy. So im in limbo here im banging my head against a brick wall She gave me sick line for two weeks and that was it!!!

Interesting, how does the physio come to the conclusion that 60 push ups an hour will get you better..... Did you ask her? How many hours a day would she like you to do this? Sounds like you need to see another gp as you are not getting anywhere with your present one. Your gp would appear to be taking the easy way out.

hi that typical they get paid for every patent they have on the books so why do the doctor do more, i think you need a new doctor
sounds to me if the doctor could not be bothered and didnt care, maybe if he/she had to put up with what you do then things would be very differentsylvia0 -
Hi Margaret just lost my reply - laptop was low on charge and had to plug it in ... and it was gone!!
All sounds very frustrating for you. I would write that physio off and ask to be rereferred in a month or so. My last physio was great but the one before that was a total waste of space - totally disinterested and my 20minute slot never lasted more than 5 mins and most of that he spent printing off my exercises!! What does the exercise actually entail? 60 an hour?! For how many hours?!
Re the GP can you not see a different doc at the practice? If not keep going back and in the end he will have to take your seriously or want to get you off his case by referring you on to a rheumy. DO you think he is worried about co-codomol being adddictive? Have you been on them long? If he wont let you have them -ask him what else you can have for break through pain.
Let us know how you get on.

Hi,
60 pushups an hour! Does she want to kill you??? Sounds very extreme to me to say the least. I think I'd talk it over with my doctor, and don't try press-ups without someone trained to show you how to do them. I know that sounds a bit odd, but they are very difficult to get right and men and women do them differently! I used to go to the gym and I've seen others do that sort of thing, but not me!
I hope your doctor can sort out something more constructive.
