The grass is always greener on the other side of the fence. Especially where food is concerned.

Get on the phone tomorrow and order in a bumper Chinese take-away, settle in front of the TV and enjoy.

    I love Chinese food... but it's not caeliac-friendly :(

I can always pop into the cafe for it though!

i love chinese to but hubby doesn't, sob!!
but since i seem to be reacting badly to my favourite burger king food, it's either the milkshakes or the food, not sure which, the last 2 times i've had burget king food /milkshake i have a flare in my hands, can't work out why as the usual suspect 'artificial sweeteners' are'nt in the list of ingredients. it's the only link that i can see to my hand flares though!
a day out shopping with my girls will never be the same!

Del's chilli sounds good but mine is different. (Veggies look away now.)

Lean beef mince, onion, garlic, kidney beans, tinned tomatoes form the base, the spices - fresh chillies, chilli sauce, chilli powder, paprika, perhaps a squirt of tomato puree.

Finishing touch - Green & Black's organic unsweetened cocoa powder, 1 - 2 teaspoons, mixed with a little water, add towards end of cooking. It thickens the sauce and adds depth and a little sweetness to the flavour.

Serve with plain boiled rice. Yum-yum. DD

I forgot - red peppers and mushrooms too. Put the latter in when the rice is cooking so they don't go all squidgy from being overcooked: I like them with some bite left in them. DD (Yes, you can look now!)
