I saw this, too, and immediately thought of you-know-who..........but isn't Manchester a bit of a long journey? We had some nicked around here a while ago, but they turned up in a private garden some miles away...............

Hi Legs,
Ah but these are special rams often lose theirs 'somehow'
I still admit nothing........
I wonder if they were hardwick's
Luv
Cris who is looking at Lynn.... but they were still for me xx

Great minds think alike eh Annie
Manchester .........I think Cris would go to the ends of the earth for a sheep, let alone a flock of them
I never knew that people went around stealing groups of animals like this, a dog maybe or a cat but this is unbelieveable

Hi Legs,
Oh rustling is a big problem actually..... sheep are worth a bit more money now a days (well mine aren't cus of heir ages but.... to me they are priceless ) and dung a recession 'meat' often gets nicked ..... there is another reason things go but animals rights issues don't normally bother with sheep...
Tell you a flock would be hard to get rid of cus there amount of red tape with sheep now a days is worse than cattle...... Sorry going quietly towards a defra rant
I still admit nothing but just out of interest how many were in the flock?
Luv
Cris with an exchange ear tag fixer behind her back xx
Ah Hardwicks.... very old breed that are known to heft and live up Lynn's way......
Come in lovely colours and are very nice sheep and a kind I always quite liked the idea of having0 -
I think Hardwicke is a breed of sheep, possible a rare one. I love the description - clouds on legs! Come on skezier, be a good girl and give them back. We'll club together and get more for you. DDHave you got the despatches? No, I always walk like this. Eddie Braben0

Oh DD will hold you to that a Hardwick and a Scottish black face at east for this lot....... I'm talking my way to a visit here and yet I know nothing xx0

Piglets get stolen most, Legs.
Annie0 -
Piglets. One of my all-time favourite words. (I use it as a swear word when I'm teaching!)
I had a piglet, once. He was a Gloucester Old Spot (cost me £40) and my mate Nigel reared him for me. (cost about £150 in food and slaughter: expenses shared with a friend who had half of him.) Best chops, joints and bangers ever. Scrumptious boy. DDHave you got the despatches? No, I always walk like this. Eddie Braben0 -
270 sheepies gone from ramsbottom...this is just a few miles from me.......... now I hear that a tractor with trailer was seen in the vicinity....the only witness says they could hear faithless music being played in the distance....they are closing in...dont worry cr..we will all be there for you with an alibi....Love
Barbara0 -
Hi Annie,
Piglets cus its easier..... there are less rules if they are outside the system and also they are small and worth more younger..... xx
Hi DD,
Its not the easiest word to sell though.... nor is pigeon actually.....
You have much higher prices u country than down here depending on when it was?
there is a pig where the sheeps are.... not sure what breed but he will be a high meat one bless him. he is quite sweet but they bigger they get the less sweet they are...... xx
Hi Lynn,
We should be ok cus no body knows....... You want a couple of black lambs? I should so like grey and they are fairly easy to shear as they have mountain sheep hair and so does stampy and its finer though infinitely longer but not that dense thick the mules or low breeds have......
Did you get the black off your self? I seem to still be in camouflage...... ((( ))) and love Cris xx
Hi Barbara,
You know me so well I shall have to sell a few to over the diesel from that journey
Will practice alibis when I get back. Cris xx
You know all joking apart that's a lot of sheep to shift in darkness and well it would take a bit of organisation but bless them its not very good is it? I worry someone will nick mine and its got to be horrible to find them gone........0 -
Sheepsies stolen from RAMSBOTTOM. Somebody`s having us on.0

My dad was a butcher, and slaughterman. He travelled to farms all over Lancashire. He used to say.....I`m off today to "Sheepsa**e"!!!0

Hi jan, snowys not molting that bad this yr but he's out there in his new build house & doesnt come in much now.
before he was shedding hand fulls & i could just pull it off him.
trying to brush him twice a wk but i have to splint up both my hands to do him. Ive been sitting out there & watching the birdies come down & flying off with his hair for the nests & im fed up with mating birds & bird poo all over the newly fence cared fencing... :x  soon as it painted they come along & poop on it so much for feeding the little ......S  Gratitude i tell you.
debs0 -
Jan , well i never knew they shaved St Bs either. Blow me down with a pink feather
Will have to try it with snowy but he runs off as soon as we brush him, he seems to think its a game.
He turned `11 in march & think he wants a peacefull retirement & no fly strike.
That was stupid M-in Law going on about us washing him so we did & the flys attacked his wet dirty bum., Never again will i ;listen to her she never had a dog,but i have all me life, & i only did it to shut her up,but she had to pay the vet bill & wont say it again.

Hey Jan.
I's having a collie sheared  he is hairy though and we have a lot of mud here and brambles and tis easier eh? Don't know what he is going to look like but don't think he will be too good..... muzzle at the ready.....
I used to lie clipping horses..... don't sheep though Yo up for dong one of the new ones I seem to have got
Nice to see you back and I haven't been rustling recently..... honest...... I have an alibi..... must talk to Barbara and poor Jordan xx0 -
Hey Jan,
Bet he looks lovely as well. Tell Lee I only take 3 mins with the electric shears to do a whole sheep.... naanaaa na na naaah I could do him in seconds except it might have the occasional door step and poss not the style he would like... I would hide the mirror though.....
Do you leave any hair on him? Gimpy is being done the same kind of cut as my Springer used to have as that will sort of suit him..... the sheep said they get poodle lion cuts before the main one and Sam is more than welcome to tag on..... xx0 -
Oh Jan there are somethings you shouldn't volunteer for They are in their best winter clothes and thumbing it up the A30 with the shears in their over night case xx0
