Well I had the ultrasound of my hands and foot. There are no erosions or fluid in the joints, but there's maybe a tiny bit of thickening in one of my finger joints, but she wasn't 100% sure.
Anyway.. she said my joints look 99% well, so I've 'escaped' methotrexate for now, they're putting me on sulphasalazine, startin Tuesday and I have to go for bloods in a few weeks.
It was a good appointment, the doctor spent about an hour and a half with me, she was nice and was very thorough.
I got a bit upset afterwards though, going to the hospital and getting the medication just makes it very real, I still think it will just go away one day *rolls eyes*. I haven't been as depressed lately but sometimes it's all a bit much to take in still.
But anyway, onwards and upwards (hopefully). I know this med might not work, but maybe it will and I guess it's important to believe in the best possible outcome... and stop the brain from going to dark places.
Well, hope everyone's having a super friday.

Hi Caprica,
Good results from the ultrasound scan, eh? Hospital visits now leave me feeling a bit rattled, never bothered me when I was younger but now, am glad and relieved to get out!
Good luck with the sulpha. I've had good results from it and will keep my fingers crossed that you do too!

Hi caprica!
so pleased your appointment went so well and that the doc took proper time to go over it all with you. It is great news that arther hasn't been gnawing at your bones!
It has been a difficult time for you and it's understandable you feel emotional with it all.....I think we all need to shed a tear or two from time to time!!
please let us know how you get on with the sulpha?

Sulphasalazine can be effective so I hope you fall into that category. Wishing you the best of luck, Dreamdaisy.Have you got the despatches? No, I always walk like this. Eddie Braben0

Hi caprica
Wasn't on last night so only just caught up with you.
Sounds very very positive to me - well done.
AND dont be too hard on yourself - getting your head round this takes time and comes in fits and starts.
Take care
Love
