Just thought I would share
Well 6 weeks to go before my 1st grandchild is due and yesterday was one of those rare days when I felt pretty good. I drove the car to homebase to get some paint rollers, masking tape and came home and started painting my daughters bedroom( she had cleared it ready for her new bed arriving tomorrow so ideal time to freshen the paintwork up). Well her with her big belly (that looks gorgeous) and me with my dodgy hands feet and knees we got on with it she couldnt stretch to do the ceiling edges so I did them great when my hand decided to spasm so the edges are a bit of a blur !! Still it looks lovely we did a pretty good job and she was so appreciative.
Today I know I did too much I spent a night in agony and couldnt put my feet to the floor I have managed to get downstairs in case her bed arrives while my hubby is out and taken my trusty dihydrocodeine which should be turing my post into illegible mush anytiem soon
Im gonna be in so much trouble with my frined tonight she has a murder mystery on and it has been a logistical nightmare for her to get everyone together for it so I cant cancel (im looking forward to it) only one problem she has an upstairs loo  :!: :!: Im tempted to borrow my mother in laws portable urinal and hide in a dark corner of her garden  How ladylike for Miss Chastity Darling
My hubby says I have to cancel but I reckon thats because he isnt into this murder mystery stuff although he is looking forward to the foods
Well gonna try rst a bit then get a hot bath and hope that works

hi Theresa, that is so typical - feeling good & making the most of it - & then paying the next few days! sounds like it was a job well done.
have an easy day and enjoy the eve.

PS definitely take m-in-laws urinal thingy just in case.I have had OA since mid twenties. It affects my hips and knees. I had a THR on the left aged 30 and now have a resurface-replacement on the right - done May 2010.0 -
Aww well done on getting the room painted. Sorry to hear you are suffering today though. The Murder Mystery sounds good! I hope you have a great time, wish I was going sounds really good!

You did what you wanted to do and that is the best thing. Yes, we have to balance ambition against outcome but that is what makes our lives so much more interesting than those of healthy people! (Not.)
I hope the MM went well and it wasn't you, with a dish mop, in the library! Rest today, and tomorrow and the day after and reflect on a lovely couple of days of activity. DreamdaisyHave you got the despatches? No, I always walk like this. Eddie Braben0 -
Oh boy is the answer...
I do this every time i feel good and regret it and always say yea amy ( daughter) i sshould have listen to u.
Atm i have OT in both knees but suspect i have it in my wrist and middle finger because my wrist hurts like hell and my poor finger well ( All i can say is i hope ppl dont think im being rude when it stiffens)
Hope u feel better real soon pleanty of rest and feet up xxxx0 -
Depends how long an evening it is. I have spent some evenings not drinking a thing for hours before hand or throughout the evening and believe me that is murder cos I have that dry throat problem associated with medication(is there no end to our misery). I find those urinal things too difficult to use as have very bad flexibility in hips.
You may improve in time but I am sure hub is only concerned about your health.
But in your shoes I would not drink(or sips only) wear a pad, go upstairs before desperate if able and enjoy myself.
However I do really know where you are coming from.....

Hi
You obviously did too much it's no wonder you're tired - rest well today. Fingers crossed that you're well enough to go out this evening. You must be looking forward to your first grandchild - I keep dropping hints to my son but he says I'll have to wait a couple of more years!
Take care

Great isnt it, you feel good and so do 'normal' things yet we suffer for it afterwards. Not fair at all!0
