Hi Jane, Good luck for tommorrow. Put your list in your bag tonight, then put a copy in your pocket :lol:
Have you got someone to go with you? I know you will be apprehensive but a least you will get some answers soon.

Please let us know how you go on. Lv, Ix

Hi Jane I had my first appointment with the Rheumatologist 30th March. It was very daunting but I can say the team I met were very good indeed. The nurses really helped to put me at ease. The Specialist was a little intimadating but very proffessional. I think it was not knowing what was going to happen that had me feeling a little daunted. I have a follow up appointment tomorrow. I cant wait. They started my treatment from the first appointment and I have lots of questions to ask this time. Dont worry if you forget anything. They should give you a direct number to the nurses and they are great. Good Luck xxx

That's what the forum is for Jane, so ask when you are ready.
Sorry it's RA though. Me too. Lets hope it will be one of the milder meds you get put on.

    Best wishes, Ix

Hi Jane, glad the appt is over!! yes, its alot of pulling around isnt it? At least now the main part is done. Did they give you any leaflets on treatments? They gave me various ones to look at, to get an idea. In the end the consultant decided on methotrexate to start off with, am now on that alongside sulfa and hydroxy. Good luck x x

    Hi Jane,

I do agree its a huge amount of prodding, pulling, bloods and fluid drains but in the end it will be worth it.

Fingers crossed you get some treatment that works soon. Cris x
