I was given this for 25 days after my THR. On week three I started to feel very cold.
Week four, I was exhausted by 3pm.
One of the side effects? The blurb says there can be a loss of red blood cells.
Has anyone had any problems with this drug?

Hi, Sorry, no experience of the drug, but I think so recently after surgery, you should talk to your GP. Its probably nothing more than part of the recovery, but as the everything is so recent, I'd get checked over. Better safe than sorry!

Is this what you are given in tablet or injection form to take/administer daily after orthopaedic operations? I had to inject myself after my first TKR and then with the other more recent TKR I was prescribed the pills, which pleased me no end!!

I am not sure about the symptoms you are experiencing being a side effect of the drug, but you would look at the details in the box.
I would have thought it more likely that you may be a little anaemic as is often the case after a major op. Usually a good balanced diet cures this. I was given a blood test for anaemia before I left the hopsital and it was a little low but I was told it was not low enough for a blood transfusion and a good diet would do the trick. Feeling tired is part and parcel of recovery after a major operation too especially in the early days of recuperation.
