The Norfolk Binman

Around the turn of the century, or a year or two later perhaps, a binman from Norfolk, called Michael Carroll, won ten million pounds from the Lottery.
He has now applied for his old job. He's gone thro the lot. Drunk it, snorted it, injected it, used it for child support, bought cars with it, it's gone. All of it.
Question 1. Could you make ten million last your lifetime?
Question 2. If not, how would you have spent it?
My answer to 1 is yes. (Hopefully.)
My answer for 2 is lovely big house, housekeeper/cook, private doctor and all the anti-TNFs I want, a Buggatti Veyron (specially commissioned in lavender blue) for best, a navy blue Saab convertible for the good days and a Quingo for going round the shops. Dreamdaisy

Apart from a house for my own security( with a hydro) I would make sure lots of other people were made happy by the money. I would get so much pleasure from helping the sick, disabled and needy.
Some winners have blown the lot, others have invested the lot and not touched a penny.

Well I would purchase a bit of land in the right spot for starters somewhere in Dorset would do, then I would build an eco house out of straw lime plastered inside with a wood burner stove for cooking and central heating, wind turbine solar and small hydro system, a dual 12 volt DC and 240 volt AC mains power supply (just in case), I would need a wood to run things and I would also build little eco cottages with hot tubs solar powered naturally so any of you lot could come down for a free holiday to chill out and potter round exploring arthritis allowing, and I would have horses for transport(well and a landforver!) and animals such as pigs and sheep, I would also grow all my own food., and I would have a little day boat so I could go sea fishing for mackerel etc so long as me knees can take it that is. I would also give some cash to the local kids hospital, I would also like to get involved in the kids charity that makes the wishes come true for terminally ill children.
|Right sadly it's back to reality I'm off to a specialist for the final flipper inspection before the report is written by my surgeon to the head witch of HR and the company Doctor.0
