    it may be orange because of the sun's angle on it ..... could it be a collared dove? difficult to tell without seeing the head :? :?

    will ask hubby tomorrow ..... he might have more idea

    Could it be a Jay Mel or even something more exotic like a Hoopoe ....although don't know where you live as they're only seen on the south coast in springtime?

    My 1st thought was a woodpigeon.........chest colour look about right.....and from whats visable, general shape looks like that to.

    Was that photo taken anywhere near a Zoo or similar

    Is it some sort of 'exotic' escapee?? r030.gif

    I'd put my money on a 'Woodie'........well if I had any money anyway....

    I got something like that (but much smaller) in my garden and it looked totally full of eggs.

    Tis odd that...... the only thing I wondered was could it have been a chicken or a bantam? Its the right size and colour but shape..... has it got a tail like a bird or not? My eyes can't work that bit out....sorry. Both chickens and Bantams can and do go up tress now and then.... Have you seen it since? Cris x
