first we sat for an hour waiting to be seen , when hazel was called she was ready to go asleep, the Rheumy just sat in chair while hazel described the symptons she was having , he said hmmm, hmmm, hmmm, hmmmm then he looked at me and said do you have fibro aswell , I said no , he said then whats wrong ? why the cruthes ? ( I thought this was hazels appointment)< told I had oa all over . he said right wait until I get you a laflet to read about fibromaygalia, hazel was telling him how hard it was to walk and if he could provide cruthes for her or a walking stick , he said well how did your husband get his I said gp reffered me to get them also surgeon and ot. he told hazel about ac board they might help I said not might diffo help ( better than docs)
He said fibromalgia can not be treated excerises can help and swiminng , I was saying to my self how can she swim , she can hardly move her arms and what if she falls asleep in the pool ( I shudder to think what my happen )
God docs can be so silly at times , ( but there are good ones out there
Mike got appointment to see his surgeon at the end of this month
lets hope they give us a date for his operation
keep well all

Not the best was it? Poor Hazel and poor you. I got my first crutches after a synovectomy operation, I woke up and there they were! - then when it became apparent I'd never be off them I went and bought some and returned the NHS ones. I'm not sure how you go about getting them from the NHS, contact physio or your GP? Somebody will be along who knows that!
I hope Mike Jnr hears soon. Regards to you all. DreamdaisyHave you got the despatches? No, I always walk like this. Eddie Braben0 -
just looked at the web site the rheumy said to look at , and to me its not as good as the information I get on here
I bought my latest set of cruthes as the N H S ones wery very heavy and they hurt my arm a lot , the ones I have now is great they just let my forearm rest in the sleeve no more clasp over my arm and they are a great colour (blue)

We know our stuff! I have some blue ones too, but I forget that they don't have cuffs, I let go and they go crashing to the floor. They used to be blue all over, now blue with lots of scratches. DDHave you got the despatches? No, I always walk like this. Eddie Braben0
