Hi M, welcome to the forum,

I have OA and so have no knowledge of this, but others who do will come along and advise shortly, I'm sure.

Hope it works for you. Let us know how you get on.

I have had OA since mid twenties. It affects my hips and knees. I had a THR on the left aged 30 and now have a resurface-replacement on the right - done May 2010.

very pleased to meet you _ I am very lucky and all under control with hydroxy pretty well.

If you dont get any replies you can use the search facility top right hand side.

    This might be quicker :D

Hi mairibc. I have PA, it began in 1997 and wasn't diagnosed until 2006. I have had three different anti TNFs, the last and curent one being humira. It's working in terms of reducing inflammation levels, but pain levels have steadily risen and the disease has steadily spread. These drugs do not cure, they only alleviate, and they alleviate better for some than others.

The lesson I have learned over the years is that you have to keep trying, until you hit upon the drugs combo that works for you. It's a long, tedious, upsetting path but when you do find it, life's lovely, if only for a while. I've swallowed stuff, injected stuff, had stuff injected and infused, none of it's really worked as I would like. My PA is a stubborn bugger, much like me! Wishing you well, and keep in touch - let us know how you fare. We understand the setbacks as well as the progress. Dreamdaisy
