For those of you with digital radios, and if you are of a certain age, I recommend 7. It specialises in the good old stuff of radio history, comedies such as The Goons, Round the Horne, I'm Sorry I Haven't a Clue, radio Dad's Army, radio Steptoe and Son (hate that one) etc, plus dramas including crime series such as Lord Peter Wimsey, V I Warshawski, Paul Temple (that is of its era!), Poirot, Sherlock Holmes and lots of other stuff. I love it, a few people on here hadn't heard of it, so here's the info. DD 'Oooooooh, Ron, beloved!' 'Yes Eth?' Ring any bells? I think they're on Thursday evening.

I love the Glums. Classic British comedy with Jimmy Edwards and June Whitfield. eg.
''Oooooooooh, Ron, beloved''
''Yes Eth''
"Oh, Ron, is there anything on your mind, beloved?"
''No Eth''
"Oh really, Ron, do you expect me to just sit here, like a lemon?"
"No thanks Eth, I've just had a banana."
"Sometimes, Ron, you're so placid - I just wish you would have a little go!"
Enter Mr Glum
"Sorry to interrupt, but have you seen the garden shears? Mrs Glum wants to do her eyebrows."0 -
I can hear the voices! June Whitfield, Dick Bentley and 'Professor' Jimmy Edwards.
I forgot, they do a science fiction bit every evening, between 6 and 7, and there's a Comedy Club too, alternative stuff, late at night. DDHave you got the despatches? No, I always walk like this. Eddie Braben0 -
