Who is your fave author mine has been Charles Dickens I did Great Expectations for my disseration I like his social concern writing travel wise I like Bill Bryson my word that is 2 authors?//

    I like Dickens, great writing... My favourite authors are:

    Lesley Pearse
    Ben Elton
    Virginia Andrews
    Sohie Kinsella

    I don't like books that are too heavy going...

    Charles Dickens, George Eliot, Jane Austen, the Brontes, Ngaio Marsh, Georgette Heyer, Margery Allingham, Bill Bryson, Lee Child, Spike Milligan, Dick Francis (the proper stuff), Stella Gibbons (for one novel) and the woman who wrote Hens Dancing, Rafaella someone. I think there are more, but I'm tired. DD

    glad i am not the only one who can't pick just one!!

    big favourites of mine are RUth Rendell, Patricia Cornwell, P.D.James, J.D.RObb aka Nora Roberts, Christine Marion Fraser, Dan Brown, Gervase Phinn ..... and Ange introduced me to my latest 'new' find Harlan Coben.

    I just googled this one Ange,isn't it lovely and how true it is.

    Would sonnet 116 make sense? Sorry I am not big on Shakespeare :)

    Clever girl Arna! Why didn`t I do that. I have a whole notebook of bits of poems, and sayings that I`ve collected over the years. Stuff that impacted on me, at any particular time.
