Daily Mail: anti CD4 antibodies

There's an interesting article in the Mail today concerning Portugese research into these antibodies. They are being posited as a potential breakthrough in the treatment of RA, viz being able to attack the white cells that lie at the root of the problem but without compromising the rest of the immune system. If I was joanlawson I would do that pretty thing in blue so you could click and go straight there, but I'm not, so I can't. It's worth a read, a pinch of salt may be necessary though. DD

Hi DD
Here is a link to the article about the research.

There is no knowing whether this is going to lead to a treatment for humans, as it has only been tried on mice so far, but it is encouraging to see that research is going on. It would be wonderful if it led to a treatment which stopped the pain of RA , or even cured it.

You and your magic blue! Thank you. I should have given the thread a different title, it doesn't hint at its contents. Ho hum, too late now. DDHave you got the despatches? No, I always walk like this. Eddie Braben0
