This is a wee rant or observation!!
Just received a 22 page document to check and return and having just glanced at it have already noticed that they have noted alot of incorrect information!!
I told them on the phone that they will not deter me in pursuing ESA with their contradictory tactics - different officers telling me different things.
Just thought I'd post a message so I don't through a plate or something at the brick wall they are building!
Penpushing Bureacrats Ready? Carol Ready? LET THE BATTLE COMMENCE!!!!!
Much positivity to everyone.

Hi Carol,
Just adding my arsenal...... Mallets, pounders, hammer by the score, lump hammers, sledges and will make some slings and bows later
You have a different system there don't you? I really hope you have a bit of real help with this though? Benefit officers that kind of thing.
I hate people having to fight for their rights but am 100% behind you and we shall get em..... Luv and a ((( ))) Cris x0 -
Right Carol, I am ready and willing, let's get em.
give em all the facts, not the made up stories that they love to create.
I am through with battling this lot and won, what was the incapacity offices, now I am full steam ahead with the DLA and still at war, have won some battles, but the war is not over.lots of dueling, for some reason, those of us who are actually ill, unable to work, have multiple health issues, are the ones that are made to juimp through hoops, while others walk off with everything and a bag to put it in. Makes me SO mad.
Let me know if you want to borrow my

Thank you everyone for your smiles and and fighting spirit!
Boy do I need your positive vibes today.
I have spend almost 5 hours on the phone and filling out forms today so now my knees are non existent and not working and my right arm and fingers are hugely swollen.
I am so angry at all this ESA tat we have to go through. They say it'll take weeks to get processed however since they keep getting info wrong it'll take longer. Told them today that to cover my own back with their errors that every bit of correspondence I send them and receive from them is now copied into a reporter at my local paper (who just loves to rant!) and my local MP. They said they didn't understand my attitude - muppets.
Just want to bursdt into tears now due to the pain however not going to give in to these soul-less pen pushers
Sorry for ranting but I just want to screeeeeam!
\Many thanks again and keep smilngCarol

HI Carol
When I received my ESA medical print it was full of errors I rang up and complained and was told it didnt matter as I was being awarded it anyway. I demanded that they put a note on my file with all the items I felt had been incorrectly stated regardless of whether I got the award or not for future reference. The woman felt I was being silly but I continued to insist until she agreed. She must have thought I was mad but I dont want things on my file that are incorrect. They'll only use it on me when I renew my claim!
Hope things go ok for you and soon

Hi,
Good Luck. I am in the Appeals process, waiting for an appeal for ESA. I only got six points despite being retired from the County Council and give a pension at full rate as the doctor at Occy health said I should never work again.
My documents are inaccurate and some of the questions they have answered without asking! I know how you feel I want to go ahead, but I am finding it hard to keep the stress of it from making me ill. Its not the money issue although far from rich, we can just about manage with my pension.
So with all the best wishes in the world I hope you win through.

It is all very stressful, something we can all do without, as an added extra. I was retired from full time work as a nurse, some years ago, due to chronic ill health. It is years since the Dr examined me for what is now the ESA, but they obviously asked my GP with their recent review, I think I scored 10 - 15 and 15 combined and have no requirements for any further information, or medicals and in no way can I be considered to be fit for work. That is the first time in nearly 10 years that they have actually said that in writing.
Now, you would think that the ESA would be linked to the DLA, but it seems that they are not, so I am at appeal with the DLA, just waiting now to hear if they are going to agree with all the Drs and Consultants, or make me go in front of the panel to fight some more. Whatever system they use to score must be similar by both departments. I hear that it is called AML (activities for managing life) the aim is to make it clearer and simpler, with less scope for disputes. Mmmm, not convinced about that one.
I know that there needs to be assessment in place, to stop the fraud that has and will go on, to the tune of millions of pounds, but, on the other hand, those who are genuinely ill, have multiple health problems and need care and attention from another person, on a regular basis, should not be dragged through hoops to try and make their point and win their case.
Rant over.
Certainly get good advice and help with the forms, I truly hope you don't have to struggle with them, whatever, do not give in, sometimes you have to fight and there are people that will help you.XX Aidan (still known as Bubbles).0 -
