I am such an idiot. Was feeling okay yesterday so decided that i would be okay to do some walking around. And i helped my boss move some tables and chairs around for a visit we were having at work. More fool me eh. I can barely walk today and can't even use my right hand. And i have pain everywhere -even in places i didn't know i could get it. Its the daddy of all flare ups. Am so annoyed with myself!!!!!! :x

Tis easily done. Arthritis is a devious beast - he cons you into thinking you can do something, you do it, then in he leaps, his red eyes gleaming with desire, fun and mischief. Don't blame yourself, rest as much as you can today - don't let him win! DDHave you got the despatches? No, I always walk like this. Eddie Braben0

Hi Penny, happens SO easily ... we feel fine, take advantage ... and then arther makes us PAY!! The cheapest and quickest way to pay the debt is annoyingly by resting ....
Hope arther calms down soon.
SpeedyI have had OA since mid twenties. It affects my hips and knees. I had a THR on the left aged 30 and now have a resurface-replacement on the right - done May 2010.0 -
i hope you feel better soon, i think we have all over done it on days when we feel ok and paid for it later. rest up and keep your chin up. hugs xx0

Penny, hi love, we all do it, you feel that bit better, or brighter and think, oh, I will just do this, sometimes out of sheer blo*** mindedness, thinking that arthur has gone away for a while, no chance, there it is, smacking you in the face again. I am always getting told off for doing too much by my OH and my friends on the forum.
I am a devil for "pottering" which usually means I end up doing too much, then you pay, big time.
It is hard to reach a compromise, if you stop doing, then you set like stone, if you do that bit too much, you have payback, trying to strike a happy medium is a constant juggling act. Hope you feel better very soon, hugs and take care, XXXX Bubbles.XX Aidan (still known as Bubbles).0 -
Hi,
Like all the other posters say, we all do it....Its as if we're catching up for lost time......and I always think...I'll only do a little bit but end up doing far more than I meant to and then suffer for it and I will do again even though I know I shoud pace m,yself
Love
