We have a flag somewhere, but we hang it for rugby, where we do occasionally win something worthwhile and the men ARE men. Footy players are a group of woefully spoiled, over-indulged, immature, whining and inarticulate toddlers, who fall over at the first opportunity and whine for mummy.
We do have, however, an absolutely splendid England garden gnome (B&Q, £13, seriously, he's gorgeous) which we have bought for our friend John. I will be delivering it to his garden tomorrow whilst he is out at work. We will be round his on Saturday to watch the game - well, I'll be sitting in his kitchen with his wife, quaffing white wine but I will sport my TRULY APPALLING England football earrings from Sainsbury's (£2). Am debating whether I will waste a fiver on a ghastly England Tshirt too, but probably won't. ING-ER-LUND, IN-GER-LUND, IN-GER-LUND. DDHave you got the despatches? No, I always walk like this. Quarter finals, that's my bet. Semis would be good but possibly a step too far. All my lads and I have made our predictions, all written down, in ink, signed and dated by them and me. I will be interested to see if any of us get it right. DDHave you got the despatches? No, I always walk like this. Eddie Braben0

I saw a really sad bugger in a car with 4 flags on his 4x4, don't get me wrong I'm very patriotic but I'd rather fly the flag with pride from home rather than pimp my ride in a naf way.Sorry I went off on one didn't I!!.0

one of the drivers has pimped his van with magnetic flags looks great lolval0

Got my flags on my car.
Praying it won't go to penalties, but unfortunately I will be out of England for the whole of the business. At least I won't have to sit through all those penalties again.
Hope you all enjoy it though. It will be egciting, there I go again, but I have a feeling England may not make it this time.

We have 2 Englad flags and when I went to hospital the other day I bought my little grandson an England cap.
I posted it to him, he will love it.
We support Chelsea so when he comes over we will be able to give him his Chealsea kit.
I don't like the look of the ears of rugby players.0 -
Trish, we have grounds on which we agree! Chelsea are undoubtedly the best team EVER, even before they became Chelski. And, rugby-wise, I know what you mean about the cauliflower ears - but not all players have those, just the hulking man-mountain ones. DDHave you got the despatches? No, I always walk like this. I was in our co-op today and they have England footballs, St George's Cross on them and streamers, for your car aerial. I am very tempted. Daisy needs some form of patriotic decoration I feel. DDHave you got the despatches? No, I always walk like this. Eddie Braben0
