Hi All,
My rhmy sent me back to physio aftermy last appointment to give me hydrotheropy to try and help with my joint movements. Anyway i had an assessment today and the physio has said my lower back and hips are showing signs of RA they are both hot and stiff.
I had a little cry earlier because i wasnt expecting it yes ive had pain but i didnt think to much of it. We did several exercises which confirmed it more so to me because i had tears in my eyes when i was doing them with the physio.

That's what RA, OA, PA etc do. Progressive, degenerative, painful and horrible. We're all adjusting to new lows all the time. Gets you down, doesn't it? DreamdaisyHave you got the despatches? No, I always walk like this. Eddie Braben0

Hi Madness, sorry that the physio has worried you but, as Babycham says hot and sore joints do not necessary mean that they are affected by the RA. When my knees and feet are giving me trouble, my hips hurt like anything because I am not walking properly and, at first I had the same concerns as you but the rheumatologist was able to reassure me that my hips are not affected by the RA. So please don't despair - you could be having "referred pain" from elsewhere. Sounds as if this is something you need to discuss with your consultant.
Thinking of you.

Hi Madness
I had a bad two days there with my pesky knees resulting with lower back and hip pain that felt almost worse than the knees.
It was 'cos I was walking and waddling in a weird fashion so yep, like tillytop says it could be referred pain.
Either way, let the tears flow and then reach for positivity.
Much encouragement and hope you feel better very soon.

Hi Madness
I think this has been a huge shock for you.
As Carola said - cry a bit for now and then (knowing you you will do this anyway) face whatever has to be faced.
We will be here for you if we can help.
You take care
Love
