Joan, my first run in with the Blessed Arthur was in my right foot, mainly the ankle. Then a couple of years later, the left knee joined in the fun. I had a TKR over three years ago, and now the foot hardly ever troubles me....Go figure!!!!!
Try those sort of circular foot exercises whenever you`re sitting down. They are quite helpful........Ange.0 -
Hi Val.
thank you yes i think things are sent to try us.
to see how we cope with them.
Hi Ange yes i do those exersises.
when i was in my 20's a horse trod on the same foot, you dont think when you are young that you will get arther when you are older because of ingeries.
thank you joan xxtake care

It's a horrid truth that arthritis spreads. It does it in its own way, in its own time. Foul, bloody disease. I am so sorry that its hit you again, but using a stick is sensible on the rough days, and the scooter is there too - a useful gadget! I wish you well with it all. Hello dachshund, how are you and your stick getting along? I hope it's helping. I have two lovely sticks courtesy of the NHS and I use them when I go out in the evening - they hang nicely from things so I don't lose them! I use the crutches for ever-day, not so pretty and a pain to stack. They always fall over. I hope you are feeling OK. DDHave you got the despatches? No, I always walk like this. Eddie Braben0

Hi Joan
Poor you.
hoping it settles down for you. Maybe it will eh?
Use the stick though - you dont want to aggravate it do you?
Good job you've got the scooter too

Hi Joan,
I've got arthur in my ankle as well as other places {hips etc} and that is from a car knocking me down reversing over my ankle and then driving over it......later on it turned into arthur.
Use your stick when you need it......dont try to do without it if you really do need it....took me a while to fight my pride and use a scooter in certain places but once I got over that.....its great.
Hope you are feeling a bit better and that the gel helps
Love
