only49, it could be a combination of all of them. We ladies of a certain age run hot anyway, adding more heat is a recipe for disaster! DD (who will start cooking shortly, wearing her nightie, or possibly nothing at all, depends on how hot she gets.)Have you got the despatches? No, I always walk like this. Eddie Braben0

I have to say, only49, sounds llike the menopause. I have had a hellish three years, it drains you like nothing - you think arthritis is bad? Mind you, you have OA and therefore might be able to go onto HRT. I wasn't, because of all the other stuff I am on. HRT is an option, but I think it only delays things - it doesn't stop it altogether. It is another hurdle we girls have to leap, but it isn't just. I do think we get the thin end of the wedge every single time: I suspect it's why diamonds were created, it's some form of recompense. Men don't even know they're born. Every adult man, when asleep, looks about six years of age. How? They only have a large amount of one hormone, and a tiny amount of another, not large amounts of two and a tiny amount of a third. One of which then tails off, dramatically. Huh. DDHave you got the despatches? No, I always walk like this. Eddie Braben0

Hi Sylvia
I have been suffering with being hot for a long time. During the winter I have had a fan on night and day.
I have to sit in a cotton nighty to try and cool down.
I think it is something to do with arthur as I know that Annie is like this too.

Hi Sylvia
have you ever tried just checking your temperature? We check our kids all the time dont we? when they are not 100%
Ibuprofen takes down the body temp I think....
Hope you feel cooler soon.
You can get cool patches for your forehead and cooling sprays too
Take care
Love

i got my knee supports on today ones made from the same stuff as wet suits are made from i think its called nupheen or something like that and only use heat if i really have too, i just stick too paracetamol and codiene today and see if that helps me stop feeling so hot, i was ok in bed last night so maybe it might be too much heat or voltavol after all we all different the only way i find out is to give it a go.sylvia0

They're made of neoprene and they keep your joints warm too - don't overdo the heat! DDHave you got the despatches? No, I always walk like this. Eddie Braben0
