I have just had a look at Big Brother just to see who has gone in the house.
I don't watch anymore of it.

I could not believe what BB got a housemate to do.

He was told to throw all the potatoes and bread that had been given to them into the whirlpool as a task. This was fresh bread not stale.

With all the starving people in this country also around the world I think that is a disgrace.

Big Brother you should be ashamed of yourself.

    Hi Trisher

That sounds like the usual level of the programme. I imagine the producers of the show sitting around at the planning stage trying to outdo each other in thinking up the most disgusting and degrading ideas to try to make a few headlines in the press. It should have stopped years ago. Does anyone watch any more :?:

Apparently some do. I would like to know how many have/will stump up the fee for the continuous 24 hour live feed. Yawn. What do you expect? I did watch the first series and found it interesting but the subsequent ones have been appalling. It is gutter televison now, made by exhibitionists for 'wanna be' exhibitionists to watch. DD

I look just to see what the housemates are like. I don't watch it after that.

It has made me mad, there are kiddies in this country go to bed hungry. If Big Brother wants to dump Fresh food well give it to people who could do with it.

Yes, there are children who go to bed hungry but that is because their parents are selfish inadequates who should not have bred in the first place. If you cannot run your own life, don't create more. DD

This is the last one thank goodness.

I never watch it but just like to see if anyone I know has gone in.

To throw food away is disgraceful.

    DD

There are people who have children and then fall on hard times like loosing their job or the main breadwinner dies so I don't think you can say that about everyone.

I do not condone those people who have 13 children and expect us to foot the bill for housing as well as feeding them.

I know there are people who do experience hard times, they are not the ones I meant and they won't be the ones sending their children to bed hungry. It's the inadequate, selfish, thoughtless drunks and druggies, those who have no intention of helping themselves in any way, the ones who forget they have children because they are too busy chasing the next drink, the next fix. I have to say that we happened to catch the few minutes of BB that Trisher mentioned (we stopped our video and it happened to turn C4 on) and we were appalled too.

I don't watch these days ..... I lost interest in their childish manipulation and sensationalisation a long time ago.

    I LOVE

    Big Brother

The chap who was given the 'food in the pool task' was none too happy either.

The only thing which would have been wasted were the four loaves of bread. veggies dont mind a quick wash

I also have to agree with DD - no child should go to bed in this country hungry - there are so many benefits which should pick them up - the ones who do are likely the ones of parents who put other 'needs' before that of their kids.

When my kids Dad let me down I went without food for them. That is what parents should do. That was before working families tax credit though. That would have saved me :(

Anyway Big Bro makes me laugh and I'll be there tonight

    Love to All

We all like different things 'tis true. It occurred to me last night that BB is a product of Endemol, owned by Peter Bazalgette. He is a direct descendant of Joseph Bazalgette who designed and had built the sewer system of London. Gutters, drains and sewers run in that family!

BB is a tired formula and it shows in the moronic quality of the contestants and the challenges. It is like a three year old who is out to shock by saying 'Poo!' and other naughty words to his granny. DD

i think many people are very lucky to have not had to face the situation of the possibility of there child going hungry. not everyone in that possition is a bad parent or selfish. life can be very cruel and no matter how hard you try just sometimes things happen and you find yourself in this situation. people say benifits are there to help and yes that is true but no one gets benifits as soon as they apply, ive known people wait weeks and weeks for there money to be sorted with next to nothing in the mean time. life can be cruel and not everyone chooses to be in this situation. just like not every single parent is a scrounger or bum.

i count myself lucky to have not got that low but have known many who have

I think it is the worst waste of television time there is and that the money that goes to make the stupid programme should go to the countries where children are suffering and starving. Can't stand Divina anyway, she is so patronising in everything she does.
Sorry to your folks who love it, but honestly, I would rather watch paint dry.

I agree with you. How many times have you had the tv on and an add comes on showing kiddies dying from thirst and hunger.

It is this that makes my blood boil.

I know the Housemate who had to do it was not happy. He still did it though. He faces eviction if he does not do the taks they set him.

I think if that had been me I would have said evict me.
