Had to steward at our Fellowship of Professional and Amatuer Artist's exhibition today, so arrived at Wellingborough Museum at 12 p.m. with my OH to help me. I did a quick reckie of the show and then it hit me, there was a note over my painting of a long eared owl. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED. Wow I thought, the judges liked my work, what an acolade. Well people started coming in and looking around incl a family with a little boy (7) who I started chatting to. He liked painting and drawing and had brought some of his work in. Pretty good i thought, so I asked his parents to put his name down for our childrens' competitions in the autumn. Well, they left to have a snack in the cafe. A bit later, he comes back, shows me the latest picture he had just done and asked me for my autograph. Do you realise, that autograph will be sold at auction for thousands, lol.

I won't be able to know you then, because I shall be a dead artist and you know you have to be dead to be famous. but hey, it was nice to see and uplifting.

So you signed his picture with your autograph. Tut, tut, plagiarism.
