hello everyone
after my letter yesterday to say I got the high rate mobility, I know I be able to get a blue badge no problem even without seeing the doctor, and I think also I think you get free car tax, is there anything thing else I will be entitled too, they awarded it to me for 5 years so i thought i just ask.

Sorry I don't know about this. S is the only one who gets DLA in our house - full rate care, lower rate mobility. Others will know though, I'm sure.
At least you'll get your blue badge easier than me!!
SpeedyI have had OA since mid twenties. It affects my hips and knees. I had a THR on the left aged 30 and now have a resurface-replacement on the right - done May 2010.0 -
Not sure how much it is but higher mob entitles you to a mobility car, servicing and tax in place of the payment.Or you keep the payment to help towards present car or taxi costs etc or beer if youre that way inclined Sylvia.

Go along to your local Citizen's Advice, they will be able to tell you what you can claim now you've got DLA. It does depend on your circumstances though.0

A great site to use is entitledto. Just google it & it'll bring the site up. you dont have to put any personal details in like name address etc.
Just put in what you get at present then it'll give you a complete guide to what you can claim, its pretty accurate too.
Housing benefit, council tax,tax credits & extra premiums on income support, etc, etc all come up.
I hope thats a help & that i was allowed to name the site.

hello everyone
just come back from getting my blue badge and i get a free bus pass i can use in scotland and i think in england, also a companion card as well, so thats us taken care of. its been a long time coming and i so glad.
been thinking also now i got it in writing and i know the D L A lot would not have given me that if i was not intitled to it, so now the likes of the stupid doctor will have to take notice.sylvia0 -
Good stuff, well done.
Don't you just love it when a plan comes together!
