Hi folks

Just wanted to share this with you..

My Rheumy has just phoned to see how I am after my hip replacement and to tell me that she is happy with my blood results now (I had low haemaglobin and raised liver enzymes post op and had some repeat bloods done last week) and that she will see me on 6th July..

What great service.. It does make a difference to have a really understanding Rheumy looking after me - I feel I can cope with anything!!

Best wishes

Marion

    Hi Marion,
always nice to hear good news.

These people, Rheumy nurses, GP's, Consultants, whoever, are usually good caring people as well as being qualified, experienced and knowledgable.

However they are human and sometimes have bad days, not helped by the NHS being generally over-stretched, underfunded and often understaffed.

So 3 cheers for the pro's.

    All the best, Kevin

    Hi Marion,

It's so good to hear this, that extra care makes all the difference.

After my TKRs my surgeon rang my hubby to tell him all was well when I was in recovery and that meant so much to us both (I didn't know she was ringing him).

It's a pity they all aren't like it.

Well Marion Good news that the bloods are ok now and also good news that you have had good care.

Thanks for posting it - we are all too quick to moan (me included) and not so quick to praise eh?

    Love

Hi Marion, that is very good follow up isnt it, makes a difference knowing you are in safe/good hands. Good news about the blood results too.

I have had OA since mid twenties. It affects my hips and knees. I had a THR on the left aged 30 and now have a resurface-replacement on the right - done May 2010.

    Hi Marion,

Sorry I missed this as well but its so god to have a bit of kind and good care isn't it? I have lucky with my rumo and hate to think how horrible it would have been had he been like some of the others I have seen.

Really glad the results show you have stabilized as well. Cris x
