My feeling was she gave a great deal of false hope to people who are already vulnerable. She was all over the shop for a few days telling all and sundry it could be Lymes. Fortunately for her it was, and she's better and that's lovely, but how many have pursued it and found it not to be? What disapointment has that brought? Please note that I did suggest to bailey that it could be worth her considering it, as Lymes is an unusual diagnosis and her symptoms do seem to be tricky to pin down.

Lucky me tho - I have PA and no cure - at least I know where I am. DD

    Hi,#

Arthritis is one of those horrible things thats difficult to diagnose and takes a while. A lot of the imaging equipment they use is quite new to and they seem to be finding new things all the time. Great, but very confusing for us!

I don't know the reasons for the different opinions on the scan, maybe it was inturprited by a different doctor, who looked with fresh eyes and saw something different. Maybe the second scan showed a different position, so they could see differently. I don't know if this is possilbe, I'm not a lot of help, am I?

Just to wish you lots and lots of love and a hug ((((((o0))))).
Just hold on tight and try to be patient, although I'm the last one to be advising that, I'm awful at waiting!!!!
    Lots of love Sue xxxx

    Hi

    Thanks for all your advice.

I have been having trouble with my shoulder this last week and so when i went to gp he said he'd send me for an x ray and an ultrasound. Phoned hosp who hadt receveid the referral for scan but booked me in for an x ray. I asked how long the wait would be for ultrasound and she aid i'd be lucky to get it done before october. so i phoned my local private hospital who for £200 would do it this afternooon. I thought i might as well as all this certainly is doing my head in. She found inflammation in the shoulder, there was fluid around the tendons, she said it is bursitis / inflammation - cant quite remember. She said ti may be linked to my probs but many people get it so it may not be. I know i have inflammation, but if the rheumy needs proof of inflammation could this be it?? ir it is a different type of inflammation??

I'm not a medic but at least you know there's inflammation there and this proves it. Time to see the rheumatologist again, I suppose, if you can face it. DD
