    Thank you everybody,

    Mum has end stage Alzheimers. It was my parents wedding aniversary this week end...so sad for my dad, as she doesn't speak or respond, and doesn't even like me kissing her anymore. It's a waiting game now. Berty, you are so right, and your mum was lucky to be so very well loved.

    Hi Jean, I am so sorry for you as I know what you are going through. My Mumhad Alzheimers, and my Dad went downhill when she eventually had to go into hospital. He died on Mum's birthday, and my sisters and I decided not to tell her as she would have forgotten two seconds later anyway. It's a hell of a disease, and in the end she could only make noises, and it was torture to witness her decline. My Mum wouldn't even let me hold her hand, and really didn't know us anyway. Be brave.     Dear Jean, I went through this with my father, and it is such a horrible illness. It is very difficult for all the family to cope with. My heart goes out to you.

    Dear Bertyboy, I am so sorry to hear of your mother's death. I think that new star will be watching over you every night. I feel that my mother watches over me still, even though she died 20 years ago.

    I'm so very sorry for you. I know how I was feeling knowing my dad was slowly loosing his battle with life. It was so very painful to watch.
