hubby went out and picked up my chair yesterday and its wonderful! tried a few in ikea and settled on a chair with armrests, not too deep and extremely comfortable. added a few cushions and now i dont want to get up got my own little spot in the corner of the room that suits me just fine.
for the first time in months i got myself up without help

That is great news!! I was so delighted when my new chair was delivered too. Someone comfy to sit and relax is SO important.
Enjoy.
SpeedyI have had OA since mid twenties. It affects my hips and knees. I had a THR on the left aged 30 and now have a resurface-replacement on the right - done May 2010.0 -

Hi Dippy, well done, it is difficult at times to find a comfy spot. Glad you are settled in your corner. it is on wheels, so we can take you outside in the fine weather. 8)XX Aidan (still known as Bubbles).0

Hi Dippy - Nice of your hubby to collect your chair
bet you feel like a queen now on her own special throne.
have a relaxing day x0 -
ive been up and down!! i can actually get up and deal with my kids and hubby has noticed that since we got the chair, he hasnt had to help me up once.
not sure if the weather is helping or not but its still alot easier to get up from compared to the corner suite, i feel like a beached whale trying to roll off
chair has no wheels but a strong hubby to move it if needed

Isn't it nice when you can get a little of your independence back. Makes you feel so good.
Enjoy it.
