Had a visit from my step son and d.i.l. Jacquie today. They brought me an early birthday present because, (and some of you will remember all the anguish I had about her last year.) they are going to be away for two weeks holiday in Portugal when we get back.
So for my birthday and our wedding anniversary, they have bought some beautiful yellow standard roses (2), which we all planted inthe garden together. And the words in the birthday card they gave me were so moving,i started to cry.

Hi Joy,
How lovely, everytime you look at the roses you will remember today.
SpeedyI have had OA since mid twenties. It affects my hips and knees. I had a THR on the left aged 30 and now have a resurface-replacement on the right - done May 2010.0 -

Aw, dear Joy, so happy to hear your good news on all accounts. You most certainly were wonderful doing all you could to help and comfort Jacquie last year. What a lovely way for them both to say thank you.

Im afraid I don't know the history of your story, but a lovely story it was. Roses are beautiful. I gave my elderly neighbour a rose bush when he was ill (which he named Lady Caroline) and its still going strong now.
Its always lovely to receive plants and flowers, especially to provide loving memories.

Hi Joy,
How lovely! I havent been on much in the last few months, but I do remember your postings last year, and the suffering and stress you were all going through. It was delightful to read this posting
All the best to you and yours.
