Kisses at the end of texts and emails

Hi All,

I was surprised to find out the other day that there's a meaning behind kisses at the end of texts and emails – did you know that? I usually put two uppercase like this XX. Apparently this means I want to kiss you and put my tongue down your throat. :shock: :shock: I send this to male and female alike :shock:

The following code nowadays does apply:
    No kisses and you're a miserable **** One small kiss is between friends One large kiss is seeing if a man/girl will get one back Two small kisses means he/she is getting closer Two large kisses means tonsil hockey Three he/she has frisky frolicking on his/her mind xxxxxxxxxx means I am desperate, like me please XXXXXXXXX I don't know what this means .....answers on a postcard please :lol:

My question is do you x, X, xx, XX, xxxxxx or XXXXXXX

    Hi Linda, never knew what meaning there was behind kisses, I always do that as a sign of friendship.

    Well, just a nice thought of being friends, but I did that on one thread once and received a reply. (Cut the bloody kisses out mate)

    What if you put no kisses does it say what that means? I will have to be careful when I write I always leave kisses.

    I tend to use kisses when I mean them, or am reciprocating...

    I thought

    x meant ordinary kiss
    X meant big kiss
    xxx meant 3 kisses

    etc

    I have had OA since mid twenties. It affects my hips and knees. I had a THR on the left aged 30 and now have a resurface-replacement on the right - done May 2010.

    I always sign emails and messages on here with "Nx" - basically because I'm lazy and don't want to sign my whole name and save a couple of letters' typing, but also because it makes a single "N" look less lazy and more friendly, if you get my drift.

    Work emails, I always sign with either "Regards, Nina" or "Regards, N" if it's less formal to a colleague but I did sign one "Nx" to my manager once :)

    I always sign with an "x" on my texts to most friends, just as a full stop, really. I didn't realise these meant anything! The predictive text on my mobile means that if I put a question mark on my text and then put an "x", it automatically puts the "x" in upper case, which I haven't given any thought to before!

    Hmmmm, interesting...

    What about hugs then? "o"?

    Hi All,

    I admit that I am a bit of a kisser and in letters and cards go for three xxx's. On emails/posts etc I tend to sign off Ax as like others I think it is friendly. And if I think more are in order then out they come, mwah, mwah!

    When I lived in Oz lots of people would sign their cards with xoxox which means hugs and kisses.

    This whole kissing thing has been a topic of conversation at my house recently. We have been organising new tenants for our house and found three 23 year old girls who seem to fit the bill. While organising the details there was quite a bit of emailing to and fro. What I found interesting was that while I signed off with 'Kind Regards, Arna' the tenants signed off with kisses!! :shock: :lol:

    I guess that must be a young person thing???
