You were a child bride!!0 -
A very happy anniversary to you both. Now 34 years ago was 1976, that very, very hot summer and the weather has come back to remind you. And just know your dear children will be celebrating with you and Lola will have a special song for you too.
Long may your lovely family prosper.

I just noticed Elna - you share this day with the first anniversary of Elizabeth joining the forum So happy forum anniversary Elizabeth!!!!!
Thankyou Collywobble and Elna was the first person to answer my incessant chatterings! Bless her, and on her anniversary too. I had some problems posting but she kept me on track otherwise I might not be on this forum.
And Collywobble joined the next day. 2 R.A sufferers looking for help and advice.

Aw, thank you dear Ange, Barbara, Oneday, Jean123 and the forum team, Annie, Cris, Mummyb, Carol, Legs, Moongazer, Joan, Toni, Elizabeth, Kath, Ironic, Val, Page, Marion, Lynn, Speedy and Wonky, I hope I have not missed anyone out, if so it is unintentional.
First of all I was truly touched because Ange must have noticed my posting on the Cheerful Thread and thought to start a thread, especially for me, when I know how very close to her heart anniversaries are and it really did pull at my heartstrings. So thank you from the bottom of my heart, dear Angie.
It was indeed a very hot day, 34 years ago and that hot dry weather, went on for months. I most definitely was not a child bride, Toni! I don't know what photos you are looking at
Ian and I did have a lovely day thank you. Nothing OTT at all which suits me fine. Lola was with us for a couple of hours and later we called in at a J**n L***s to look at some carpets for our hall and landing. We did buy an oil cloth for our garden table which Ian cut into a round and cut a circle in the middle too, for the brolly so that looks great now I am easily pleased .Lunch was taken in the garden and we opened all our cards as we had not had time earlier. Late afternoon, I packed up my bike with BBQ fare, salads, beer, champagne, proper glasses, of course and we biked to the allotment BBQ, not where our allotment is but a much larger site a little further away. Ian does not have any paniers on his bike, so could not carry anything. It was a great evening, could have done without the bonfire this year, but we all moved away from it, but we ALWAYS have a bonfire at the annual BBQ. There was a record turnout - must have been 70 peeps or more. It was a very good, relaxing evening.
Thank you all for making my weekend perfect. It was lovely to call in here and see all the messages for me. I am truly a very lucky girl
Love to you all,
Elna xThe happiest people don't have the best of everything. They just make the best of everything.
If you can lay down at night knowing in your heart that you made someone's day just a little bit better, you know you had a good day.0
