It is the most faulty gene in a human being that is at work there, the 'It will not happen to me' gene. I never understand why, when people deliberately flout the law, they get so incensed when they're caught. It is twerpdom of the highest calibre. DD

On a totally different subject, I don't understand why SOME (not all!) elderly people think it's their god given right to jump queues? I was pushed in front of by a little old lady in a shop once, she just walked straight in front of me to the checkout - so I went in front of her and I said

"Excuse me, I was here first"
"I'm 85 years old, you know!"
"You've had plenty more practise than me at queuing then, haven't you?"

:D I don't know why I just thought of that, but this thread started it!

I had a granny with attitude run over my feet with her trolley the other day because silly me, I couldn't move out of her way fast enough! And the look of disgust she gave me, honestly! If she had bothered to wait a moment she would have had a clear path as I hobbled to one side to let her through.
Apparently being young means I don't deserve the patience or respect I would have automaticcaly given to her. Makes me grumble...

With an innocent expression you could have said, if you put your blue badge on dash you should be okay!

I gave similiar example on a thread a while back. In shop, old chap infront drops his lottery ticket at head of queue, i stiff as bored, says sorry i cant pick that up for you but i have a sore back. He grunts so have I!!! He 1. assumed i would pick it up and 2. despite my explantion that i didnt think i had to give but was being pleasant, he goes onto to be grumpy instead of saying, its okay etc, miserable old git.
If my son was with me i would have asked him, nice mannered boy.

If there are double yellow lines and line(s) across the edge of the pavement, then there is a loading restriction in force as well. Blue Badge owners should not park there or they will rightfully get a ticket.

Badge holders may park on single or double yellow lines for up to three hours in England and Wales except where there is a ban on loading or unloading. Pages 15 and 20, Blue Badge Scheme.
