Beauty in the garden

How still the garden
Early morn
Birds are singing
A chorus at dawn
How wet the grass
Dew glistens like tears
Seasons changes
On go the years
How small are the seeds
In my hand
Growing nurturing
Digging the land
How still are the children
Asleep in their bed
Their laughter
Memories
Play back in my head
How wet is the grass
Paddling pool fun
Happy and free
Enjoying the son
How small you were
Placed in my arms
Watching personality develop
The beauty your charms

I wrote this at the work shop today. and this warm up exercise

Running and running
Wind rushes past
Pacing my movements
Worrying i will be last
I'm trying I'm trying
I'm giving my best
Closing in closing in
I want to get away
The finish in my sight
A good end to the day

    That first poem really touched on all the emotions I always feel in my own lovely garden Joanne......Well done, I`m proud of you girl....Ange.

    I will have to start writing down when Ive written each one and feeling etc surrounding them. I have got a book for them to go in but have not got round to it. Me and organization don't go together.

    I had a really lovely day. I hope they get Brendon back to do another workshop Brendon Hawthorn he has a few books out and been published in the poetry press and had short stories published in mags. He was really nice down to earth.
