Not a good news day

Its been a day of not nice news
I got into work to hear a professional colleague I respected and genuinely liked had passed away over the weekend. It was a shock as I was about to work with him on a new project and was looking forward to it. He will be sadly missed.
The other not good news is a big story up here (Newcastle/Gateshead) you probably have all been watching on the News - the guy who is being sought for shooting his former girlfriend, her partner and a police officer well he shot the police man really close to my old house and where I work. We did wonder why there was so much police activity over the weekend, wish it had been something more innocuous, hope they catch him soon.
Tomorrow can only be a better day, fingers crossed
Chrissie

HI Chrissie,
well what a day for you .... in so many ways.
I am sorry to hear about your colleague - sudden death is such a difficult thing for those left behind to deal with. I'm thinking of you.
Thanks for the PM too .... I'll reply properly soon.
Great big hugs

Hi Chrissie, sorry the week has started so badly for you. I see that the gunman is still on the run, too.
My OH comes from the Newcastle area, didn't realise that's where you are.

Sorry to read your news Chrissie.
It is a nasty shock when someone dies suddenly and unexpectedly.
I have been following this story as my daughter lives and works in Newcastle. I am trying not to fuss and worry but in the light of the Cumbrian horror one has to keep an open mind.
