Sorry you were stressed for your appointment. Do you have a prepay certificate - would that work out cheaper for you? People with diabetes and epilepsy get free prescriptions - it's a pity that doesn't stretch to those with arther - perhaps we should campaign for this after the "lean years" are over ...
Shame about the HRT and periods thing -but I suppose anything to help keep your bones healthy and strong is a good tactic for limiting the damage of arther.
At least you know what you are dealing with now. Did the doc have any suggestions for lowering your blood pressure other than/alongside the meds?

Hope you have a more relaxing evening.

I have had OA since mid twenties. It affects my hips and knees. I had a THR on the left aged 30 and now have a resurface-replacement on the right - done May 2010.

Not surprised your BP was up on the ceiling, Val. I'm sure it will take a little time to come to terms with it all; not just the job situation, but the arthritis diagnosis as well.

Chill out for a few days as much as you can...........see you for a cuppa in the cafe...........then you can take your book out in the garden and laze in the hammock with it.

Hi Val, we have a two hammocks in our garden - one a traditional one and one a low to the ground rocking one. The traditional one was outgrown by S and is now mine!!! :D But, I can only use it when he is home as I cannot get out of it by myself ...  Of course not using it at mo ... hip precautions.

Hope you have a chilled and positive day today.
