Hi TJC,
Sorry your having a rough time just now. I think you might need to get it checked out really. I agree it could be your neck or if you have any swelling it might be that but its probably better to get it checked out. Hope it will soon stop hurting you and if nothing else you sound like you need better pain control. Please keep us posted and hang in there. luv Cris x0 -
Hi TJC
I have similar problems and they all stem from cervical spondylosis, it causes all sorts of problems and pains, in shoulders, arms, numbness, loss of grip, you name it, it is a beast.
It can be diagnosed with a simple x-ray, worth asking your GP to send you for further tests.
I can sympathise with the pain, sometimes, nothing helps. I hope you feel more comfortable soon, it does have better days, honest.
Take care

Hi, I would have get an appointment to get the numbness checked out and also to see if you can get some better pain meds. Let us know how you get on.
SpeedyI have had OA since mid twenties. It affects my hips and knees. I had a THR on the left aged 30 and now have a resurface-replacement on the right - done May 2010.0 -
I have to agree with teh others - you need to get yourself checked out to be on the safe side.
Most likey a trapped nerve (I lost the feeling in a few places over the years and hardly any of it is STILL numb )
Good luck

Thanks everyone
It started yesterday after I had carried a bottle of milk home in a carrier bag, when I came to put it down my hand was clawed & I had no feeling in my finger tips.
This morning when I woke up I couldn't feel my hands at all but the feeling came back...but still no feeling in my finger tips :?
I have a appointment with my ruemmy next week for nerve conduction tests. So im hoping to get some answers then.
Thanks again tjc.0 -
