Hi, Nice to hear from you. :) Have you touched anything, especally in the garden or plant matter. Or eaten anything out of the ordinary. I'm certainly no expert, but it sounds like an allergy. No new meds I suppose?

If they are still their tomorrow, and worrying you, I'd see if you can see the doctor or nurse, it could be anything really. Sorry thats no help at all!

I hope that you soon get rid of the blisters and don't get anymore. :x

Hi Karen, how are you getting on??

These sound like what I get sometimes... after a bad finger swelling I sometimes get lots of tiny little colourless skin bumps down my fingers that look like they have fluid in them, but they're hardish to the touch. They're not sore but they get itchy. They tend to fade after 2-3 days to flat silvery dots and then totally go.

I think it's a heat rash from the heat of the finger swelling.. I asked my GP about it once but he didn't really have any ideas. Maybe yours will be more helpful...

    Hi Karen,

Silly question but do you use walking sticks or crutches? I get blisters from holding my crutches. Im sure you would have made this link yourself so im guessing you dont have any walking aids.

Hi Karen, they sound odd/intriguing - are they sore/itchy?

Could be any of the ideas above - allergy as Sue says or heat bumps as Caprica mentions. I've had those - kind of like having tapioca lumps on the skin... I got calluses rather than blisters from my crutches - but could be blisters like Elizabeth gets.
(Elizabeth do you have pads on your crutches' handles?)

I would pop into local chemist and get pharmacist to take a peek - don't need an appointment and might be able to suggest something on the spot.

Hi all and many thanks for your replys - I dont think its an alergy as not itchy or sore - I think Caprice may be right as i have been having some thermo heat treatments which heat the body from the inside out so could be some sort of heat rash. I'll see how it goes over the next few days.

Caprice - I'm not to bad thanks, trying to just get on with things but to be honest things do seem to be getting worse, my feet are always painful and i feel sometimes like i have stones under them, my hands and wrists do a lot of swelling and are sore by the end of the day - but i try not to let it stop me doing stuff and i'm seeing my Rheumy for the second appointment at the end of the month so hopefully will get some more answers. How about you?.. are you keeping ok?.. how are you getting on with the meds?

Thanks again everyone - its good to be back!

    Hi Karen Jane

I too get these and seem to get them almost as a warning that my hands are going to swell up like goalkeepers gloves.

Also, sometimes I look at my fingers and it looks like I have had blisters and they have burst even though I didn't have a bumpy thing beforehand.

I was intially diagnosed with Rheumatoid Arthritis then rediagnosed with SLE (a form of Lupus) and PolyArthritis and I believe this skin thing is part of my Lupus.

Hope you are having a good day today.

    Hey Karenjane,

Sorry to hear your symptoms aren't improving! :( Hopefully when you see the rheumy again they'll get you started on some meds. Do you have any painkillers/anti-inflamms in the meantime??

I'm fine, just fine.. Have been on sulfasalazine for a while, but had to stop for a few weeks cos my white blood count went wonky. Back on it now, so hopefully I can keep taking it, or we'll swap to another med. I feel fine, I dont think it's the meds as it's too soon to see an effect.. just having a good few months so I can't complain!

Wishing you luck with your appointment, and hope to see you posting more often :)

Thanks Caprice - Good to hear your keeping well.

I have diclofenic and pain killers but to be honest they dont really do anything. I'm off on a walking holiday with the dogs next week so fingers crossed my feet will behave!!

    Good to hear from you.

    Hi Karen Jane

I was just browsing the forum looking for exactly the same thing as you have. I just noticed them today. I too have these little bumps, like watering blisters on my fingers.
Like you say, they don't itch or hurt. I was only diagnosed 5 days ago with inflammatory arthritis so I was wondering if it was a side effect of the tablets i'm on. I'm taking Naproxen. Are you on the same tablets?
I had a big flare up on Wednesday with swollen hands so i'm also wondering if that was the cause.
Glad i'm not alone with this. Let me know how you go.

    Best Wishes

    Louise

Since I posted the above comment, one of my fingers has swollen up a treat so maybe it is connected........

    Hi Karen Jane,
    Only just spotted your post.

I got these a few months ago and the dermy tells me it's psoriasis. She's given me stuff and died down now. Hope your doc solves the mystery asap.

    HI
I think if it isn't any better tomorrow, you ought to go an let the doctor or the practice nurse have a look. Heat rash on me is just tiny red, raised spots, which don't always get ichty, but my husband has a sort of blister, more like yours, only itchy.

Also, some viruses cause strange rashes. Their is one believe it or not, called foot and mouth, or thats what my GP told me I had! Its not the same as animals, though!!! If its an allergy, you can get cream, which is very good, I find on me.

Sorry, no real help, I hope you get rid of it quickly.

    Love Sue

Yep, that is the same as what I posted - seems to warn me that a swelling is on the horizon!
